Fletcher R.
Catron represents the fourth generation of Catrons in the law firm.
Mr. Catron received
his juris doctor degree from the University of New Mexico in 1973 after
receiving his bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1969. He
graduated from law school as a member of the Order of the Coif, an academic honor society.
Mr. Catron's practice
now focuses on estate planning (including wills and trusts), real estate and probate
law. Mr.
Catron is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Mr. Catron is
past president of the First Judicial District Bar Association, past
chairman of the Board of Directors of the Real Property, Probate and
Trust Section of the State Bar of New Mexico, and past president of the
Estate Planning Council of Santa Fe. He is currently a member of the
Board of Directors of the Elder Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico
and chairman of the committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust
Section that was instrumental in the New Mexico Legislature's passage of
the Uniform Health-Care Decisions Act and the Uniform Trust Code.
Mr. Catron's
principal avocations are bicycle touring and backpacking.
