Thomas B. Catron, who came to New Mexico in 1866, following the Civil War and
practiced law in the New Mexico Territory before New Mexico became a
state in 1912. During a practice that spanned a

period of 55 years, T.B. Catron served in
public offices ranging from Mayor of Santa Fe to New Mexico's first
United States Senator.
