Julia D. Catron

Julia Catron was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She graduated cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in May of 2010, and was sworn into the New Mexico state bar in September of 2010, becoming a 5th generation New Mexico attorney.

Julia received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University where she graduated magna cum laude with a major in International Relations, and a focus on cultural anthropology and regional politics in Latin America.  She also received a minor in Spanish.

Julia’s has a general civil practice as well as an immigration practice that focuses on citizenship, family based, and humanitarian based immigration matters  Her other legal interests include access to justice, alternative dispute resolution, and federal immigration law.  While in Law school Julia worked for the New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty and studied abroad in Mexico, followed by a brief internship at a lower court in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Julia has lived in Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, and Spain. She currently serves on the boards of Conservation Voters New Mexico and the Santa Fe Adult Soccer League.  She loves to be outdoors and spend time with her friends and family, play soccer, travel, bicycle, and ski.
